The list of Goldcar destinations grows every year, allowing travelers to get behind the wheel of the newest and best value rental cars on the market in ever more locations. The company offers its customers more than 60.000 vehicles that are renewed each year, making it one of the youngest rental fleets in Europe.

2018
Goldcar enters Montenegro with the opening of two branches in Podgorica and Tivat. It also continues its expansion in Portugal and Grecia with the opening of three new offices.
2016
New franchises open in Cancun and Corfu. The company opens new offices in Ponta Delgada (Azores-Portugal) and reinforces its presence in the Italian market. Entry into Serbia, Romania, and Cyprus.
2015
More than a dozen offices open, reinforcing the presence of Goldcar in destinations such as Italy. Entry into Greece, France, Croatia, and Netherlands.
2013
Inauguration of 9 offices. Goldcar ranks as the number 1 hire car company in the Spanish holiday market.
2012
The expansion in Europe is consolidated with the opening of new offices in Portugal and Italy.
2011
The offices at the airports of Barcelona, Bilbao, Ibiza, and Menorca are inaugurated and international expansion begins with the opening of Faro (Portugal).
2010
Offices open in North Tenerife, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
2009
A new, more modern, corporate image is created to facilitate the global expansion of Goldcar.
2008
New headquarters open along with centres in Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
2007
New openings in Girona and Granada. The Company brand name changes to Goldcar.
2006
New ventures open in Reus (Tarragona) and Seville.
2002
Development continues with new offices opening at Almeria and Jerez airports.
2001
Continuing the expansion process a new office opens at Murcia Airport.
2000
A new office opens at Malaga Airport.
1998
The Company begins a phase of growth and creates new departments which leads to the expansion of headquarters, based in San Juan de Alicante.
1997
The Benidorm offices are moved to a better location. The first office in Alicante Airport is inaugurated.
1995
The Valencia office opens.
1989
The third Company office opens in Benidorm (Alicante).
1988
The company begins a phase of rapid growth and creates new departments, necessitating the expansion of our headquarters in San Juan de Alicante.
1987
The second Company office opens in Torrevieja (Alicante).
1985
Brothers Juan and Pedro Alcaraz began their venture by renting vehicles from their first office in San Juan de Alicante with just 4 Ford Fiestas and a Ford Escort.
“The companies Securitifleet, S.L. and Goldfleet Spain, S.L.U. are the owners of almost all of the vehicles rented by Goldcar Spain, S.L.U. to their clients in accordance with the corresponding general rental conditions. Both companies have pledged their respective vehicles to the benefit of the respective creditors in virtue of a financing contract titled “Spanish Securifleet Financing Agreement” and its successors and assignees (Securifleet, S.L.) and a financing contract titled “Spanish Goldfleet Financing Agreement” and its successors and assignees (Goldfleet Spain S.L.U.). To the effect of said pledges, Goldcar Spain S.L.U. has been designated as a third-party owner in compliance with Article 1.863 of the Civil Code.

Consequently, even when Securifleet, S.L. or Goldfleet Spain, S.L.U. appear as the owners of the vehicles in the documentation provided to Goldcar Spain, S.L.U.’s clients, any vehicle return by a Goldcar Spain, S.L.U. client must be carried out in favour of Goldcar Spain S.L.U. in their condition as a third-party owner or, where applicable, before any other entity that substitutes them in said condition, and under no means in favour of Securifleet, S.L. or Goldfleet Spain, S.L.U.
